My mother, Jan and step father Maurie Turner built our house in 1978. It was their dream home and they loved living in this beautiful area for almost forty years. We have had many enjoyable family events including birthdays, Christmases, Easters, Thanksgivings and my sister's beautiful wedding. She loved to garden and entertain and always thought the house would be a good spot for a small bed and breakfast. Mum passed away in 2014 and my husband and I decided to pursue her vision and open the house to guests in her memory. We are really enjoying our visitors and providing a comfortable relaxing place to stay while they are visiting our gorgeous island.

Howie & I have an interesting story. We were childhood sweethearts in high school growing up in Duncan here on Vancouver Island. In university we went our separate ways & I ended up in California. I got married, raised a family of 3 & went into business with my first husband for twenty-six years. Howie also married & had five kids of his own. When my kids were grown I chose to start a new life & move back to Canada. I reconnected with Howie 13 years ago who was on his own & we have been together now for over 12 years, married & enjoying our grown children & grandchildren! While I lived in California in a little coastal town called Fort Bragg we had a house with a small grandmother cottage perfect for a vacation rental. We renovated it, started to rent it by the night & found it was a lot of fun! We had people come to us from everywhere including England & they always had interesting stories. I really enjoyed hosting people on my property so we thought this would be a great way to work into our retirement years. Howie & I are finding having a bed and breakfast as satisfying & fun as we hoped it would be. We look forward to meeting you & helping to create a perfect vacation!

We are a small bed and breakfast located in the country with a large two bedroom suite with all the comforts of home (sleeps 6), a spacious and cozy one bedroom guest house (sleeps 4) and a single room with shared spa like bathroom (sleeps 2). The area is pastoral and quiet and we are fortunate to have a 9 hole golf course across the street with optional alternate tees for a “Back 9” if you prefer to play 18 holes. Coles Bay Beach is a five minute walk away with a wonderful view of the bay and hills in the background. We are convenient distances from many amenities. The quaint town of Sidney is a 7 minute drive with a wide variety of restaurants, the Mary Winspear Theatre with plays, music, conventions and local events, beautiful beach walks and lots of lovely shops. The Victoria International Airport is 5 minutes away driving, BC Ferries 10 minutes, Butchart Gardens and Butterfly World 15 minutes, and Victoria and other ferry options 20 to 25 minutes. We are in a favorite island area for walking, running and biking with many close by beaches and dramatic views. We consider ourselves so very lucky to live in this charming and beautiful area!
