Set on the banks of the Thamalakane River, The Maun Studios offers accommodations within 4.3 mi of the Maun Airport. Free WiFi and parking are provided. Our two bespoke 54msq studios, with either extra length king or twin 3/4 beds, have private bathrooms and well-equipped kitchens. Breakfast is served at our thatched boma which overlooks the Thamalakane River and its abundant birdlife. The Maun Studios Guests can enjoy scenic walks along the river, outdoor splash-pool & birding from the comfort of your deck Airport transfers & restaurant reservations can be booked with advance notice

How is your room
Both suites are 50sqm with ensuite showers and an equipped kitchen.Answered on 7 January 2021Possible to pay with credit card ? Pool clean and ready to be used ? We come from Chobe and told that a speed boat trip to the canoes is a must. Is that availabble ? Is there game meat available for barbeque ?
We do have credit card facilities (VISA only). Pool is always ready & clean. Boat trips are dependent on water levels in the river. We can assist in purchasing game meat for barbeque but we do not sell/provide directly.Answered on 16 February 2022Do u have a telephone line I can call?

Each unit locks up securely. The property has an electric fence around the perimeter as well as security beams. Traveling from Gabs is almost completely straight & then turning off the tar once you are about 7km out of Maun towards Shorobe.Answered on 16 February 2022Could you provide some details on finding the place. Inspired by the surrounding landscape & garden established by our family over 50 years ago, The Maun Studios were designed to make your visit a unique, comfortable, and tranquil experience. Our rooms are spacious, our rates are competitive and the service is excellent. Just 7 km from the center of town, The Studios offer easy access to shopping, restaurants and the airport. Shared facilities include a thatched boma for sundowners, a plunge pool, and a large shady garden with views of the Thamalakane River and its abundant birdlife. There is ample safe parking and spacious en-suite accommodation with air-conditioning, WIFI, and TV.
We have called Maun home for generations and are well acquainted with traversing the Delta area and surroundings Pans and National Parks. The tranquility of the garden and the views of the river with its waterfowl, fish eagles, and hippos make you feel that you're already in the Okavango Delta.
Guests can take a scenic walk along the river to the Matlapaneng Bridge or have sundowners at the river's edge right below the garden. As Maun is a large village, there are very few street names - GPS will take you to a black metal gate made of bars - this is not our gate - proceed for 20m and turn right down the tracks for 200m and right again and you will see our gate at the end of the driveway.
