We was upgraded to the top floor which had a balcony, excellent views of the sea and Varna. We was lucky with the weather used the gym every morning along with the pool which is on the same floor

Location was excellent. Near to the sea and shops close by.we were spoilt for choice with restaurants on the doorstep. Breakfast at 5he hotel was exceptional. Great choice and freshly cooked to order. Staff very helpful and friendly. We look forward to going back next year

The beach at Varna is decent, relatively c;lean and water is warm even in colder days. We went to various restaurants that we loved - Martini Bar, El Kaoan, Monkeys, Mr. Baba, Alba, Pette Kishcheta. They are all very different but food was great everywhere. In the two rainier days we just walked the streets and visited the Navy Museum and the Aquarium (they seem to be very popular, especially for families with children). Some of the restaurants on the beachfront aloo have umbrellas and sunbeds for hire - we recommend Monkeys - they were very nice and accommodating.

Hidden gem in Europe if you ask me. Great nightlife consisting of clubs, hip bars, pubs, great (childfriendly/vegetarian/Vegan friendly) restaurants.
Easy to get around.
Great for a long weekend whether it is to party or to just relax on the city beaches.
Yes, it can be cleaner (but so does Rome and Napoli), and yes people can be a bit more friendly and polite (but that's the same everywhere, isn't it?)
All in all, if you travel here, you won't regret it.

Some bus lines are privately owned and a bus ticket for one does not apply to the other. This became clear after the ticket master started shouting at us for not buying a ticket from THEIR company.
In short, if there is no: "I <3 Varna" written on the bus, it is a privately owned bus.

A very original post-communist town.
A very original post-communist town. Not too big, easy to walk through. All the houses have a unique, albeit not particularly stylish touch, with various additions and fixes. The whole center is like an interesting mosaic of somewhat unattractive but funny and intriguing houses. There are amazing, sometimes really huge trees, and frequently repaired sidewalks interlaced with tree roots. The people are pleasant and lack the typical manners you encounter in very touristy areas.
Varna has an amazing, long, and entertaining beach with a huge, beautiful park right next to it. On the beach, you can find a mix of different styles of bars and areas. Every single person can find the perfect spot for themselves.

We particularly enjoyed Cathedral, Retro museum, Archeological museum, Sea Gardens and eating out. Getting around on a bus was also very easy and comfortable (used apps for both tickets and bus schedules).
Large apartment with big balcony overlooking the sea and short walk to lovely beach through the trees . Outside Varna in very pleasant area , next to a bus stop or walk along the coast if feeling energetic. Family are warm and kind and shared delicious homemade Raki with us and were really helpful and ready to chat in fluent English . We really enjoyed our stay in this very well equipped apartment and interacting with such
welcoming Bulgarian people.
this apartment is absolute SCAM. DO NOT BOOK IT unless you don't want to lose your money!! we booked an apartment, at first the host didn't answear when we arrived, then she told us that there are already people living in the apartment and we need to find another hotel. still no refund even after claim to customer service of Booking and of course the host didn't cancell the booking herself
The hotel is very nice. It is located in a nice area, surrounded by nice buildings and across a nice restaurant and a few minutes away from the beach and the city centre. The breakfast is delicious. I would surely come back!
