Ghent is well known for its medieval architecture, such as 12th-century well-preserved Gravensteen Castle, and the Graseli - a row of guildhalls adorning the sides of the Lede River. The Grand Market, Sint Bavo’s Cathedral, the Museum of Fine Arts, the STAM and the SMAK Museums are also worth a visit.
