We have mixed feelings for our Baku trip ..We had awesome day tour from Baku which we highly recommend -Quba khinaliq tour , Gobustan fire temple and Shahdag ...We didn't enjoy our Sheki day tour ..We will never recommend it as it was too lengthy and not worth it ...Baku city tour can be done in a couple of days ..Beware of Exuberant pricing for anything and everything in Nizami street..We would rather recommend Indian restaurants as other local restaurants had different price for tourist ... overall we felt the price are little more higher than what we pay in premium restaurant in India ..getting around in Baku -- Recommend to use local bus or metro as Bolt app is not that reliable ..there is one more app Yango .. you can try with that as well ..Highly recommend highland park and funicular ride there for family and kids especially

Mostly walkable.
Mostly walkable. There is a metro, very cheap, and Bolt taxis.
Old city was really picturesque. Sea front promenade and parks were spacious and spotless.
Plenty of shops and great value pubs and restaurants.
Tours to mud volcanoes etc was really interesting and good value.
The mixture of modern and ancient architecture is tastefully done and the people are friendly.
All in all a brilliant place to experience East meeting West.

Baku is a wonderfully fascinating and cosmopolitan city.
Baku is a wonderfully fascinating and cosmopolitan city. Not quite Europe, nor Russia, nor Iran but a mix of all three. There is medieval, Tsarist, Communist and futuristic architecture all vying for your attention. The food and drink options are endless and the people, although reserved, are utterly charming and hospitable. It's safe, clean and orderly (unlike my hometown of London!) and while I can't speak for summer or winter, I enjoyed idyllic weather in September both times I've been. Just go.

Baku is great beautiful city to visit and explore!
Baku is great beautiful city to visit and explore! The city with ancient history including Iceri Seher and modern architecture like Flame Towers, friendly people and delicious food as Ash Kara, Lula Kebab. Getting around is best by walking, otherwise you might get stuck in the traffic. Plenty of parks and malls with playgrounds for families with children.

For me it was the first time in Baku.
For me it was the first time in Baku. The city is well accessible by plane and people are very friendly. The old town is very touristic and houses multiple hotels, many restaurants with good local food, and several shops where you can buy local products and souvenirs. The city is renewing fast and there are many modern iconic buildings. Some of them are open for the public and a visit is recommended.
The city is clean and well maintained. You can walk safely through the city as a foreigner.

Really elegant boutique hotel right in the heart of downtown Baku, with a feel of grandness to it. The staff were helpful on check in and helped me sort out a very early morning taxi when I left, which was cheaper than I had expected. The room was a good size, with the small elegance as the rest of the hotel and the whole place was very clean. The absolute best bit was the rooftop restaurant for breakfast though, with hanging plants, singing birds and great views of the Flame Towers and the city roofs. That was amazing on sunny days!
The best thing about the Art Club Hotel is Tahir the Manager and the young gentlemen Staff. Lovely warm welcome, professional, impeccable manners, friendly, always ready to help with anything made our last night in Baku just unforgettable, we wished to stay longer
This magnificent historic Hotel, with big spacious rooms and the most beautiful art is just a bonus, it is Tahir and his Staff that makes this Hotel simple the Best in Baku
The location is just perfect, in the heart of the Old City
Helelik Art Club, afferin!
The staff is great. They speak English and they contacted me directly after I booked. Mr. Murad, Mr. Nariman and Mr. Ibrahim were all genuinely friendly, real people with the willing to help. I enjoyed my stay. You'll get more than what you paid for at this hotel. Don't over think it, book it now.
It's in the top of the old city, and the roof top overseas Baku and the Twin Flame towers. Also the sea. All in all I will definitely make this the hotel I always choose when I come to Baku.
Thank you everyone.
Location! Location! Location! It’s the best in the heart of the old city Baku.. Behind the hotel there’s strings of cafe and near Nizami Street for shopping, restaurants and night life!!
Hotel Staff Jaafar and Eiman complimentary upgrade our room from twin bed to a king bedroom upon checking in. A great hospitality and great service provided by the hotel management. Excellent cleanliness!! Thank you!! It will never be our last.. A memorable hotel to stay in the near future ☺️
Beautiful hotel and helpful staff. An ideal place for family. Good breakfast. My family loved it.
Also the room had an amazing view to the city.
Overall a good choice at Baku. The hotel did make our stay at Baku much more memorable.
