The Bush Cottages are forestry cottages made from natural timbers, circa 1957, transported to the property and efforts made to retain the original characteristics. Set on 88 acres(33 hectares) with adjacent 200 hectare bush reserve. This property features 17 acres of landscaped waterways (ponds/lakes). A feature being it is free of domestic livestock which has encouraged a large number of indigenous birds and animals to make this property their home. A variety of exotic and Australian trees and plants provide habitat and an attractive landscape to walk and discover. You are invited to leisurely walk the property and rest on the seats provided while contemplating life and watching the bountiful birdlife.
Located on the fringe of Balingup Township, reknowned for the Balingup Small Farm Field Day and The Medieval Carnivale. Balingup being an attractive small village with local wares, street art, scarecrows and local goldsmith. Walk all or part of the famous Bibbulmun walking trail and visit the unique Golden Valley Tree Park. Balingup is located central to all locations in the South Western Australia region. Being equal distance to Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River & Pemberton tall forrests means Balingup is the perfect base to explore from. With local cafes, wineries, restaurants and hotels within the surrounding districts there is always something interesting to find.
