Wine Down Manor is a beautiful, modern and spacious home, situated in West Cessnock, right at the gateway to the Hunter Valley Vineyards. It has 5 great sized rooms that can comfortably sleep 10, 4 queen beds and 2 singles, plus an additional futon in the TV room for an extra 2 guests. The bedrooms are all situated at the front half of the home, with the kitchen, entertainment area and dining all at the second half of the house. This means if you have infants or toddlers that still have a day sleep, they can sleep without any disturbances. (We have a cot and change table already set up and kept in the huge walk in robe in the main bedroom). The 8 foot pool table is a real hit, especially if the weather is not so great. We have board games for everyone and reading books for the littlies, plus a huge fully enclosed backyard for the bigger kids to kick a ball around in. Once you have checked into Wine Down Manor, we are sure you will feel welcome and comfortable with everything you need for a perfect getaway to the Hunter Valley!

My name is Jill, and I’ve been married to Craig for 39 years. We took up hosting in 2015 with our rural home, Edenview, until we purchased Wine Down Manor in 2021. We love being hosts. Preparing and presenting our home to our guests and finding that they enjoy their stay is very rewarding. I do my utmost to ensure guests have what they need, and am always available by phone if the need arises. If there are issues that pop up that we can’t take care of directly, we will arrange for someone who can. You will rest assured that your holiday at Wine Down Manor will be as easy and carefree as possible.

Wine Down Manor is close to every amenity you could need, including our favourite Italian restaurant, just 50 metres away! Also within walking distance (a block away) is the local pub, takeaway Chinese, hot chip shop, service station (around the corner) post office and pharmacy. The best thing is that we are also within easy driving distance to the Hunter Valley Gardens. Hunter Zoo and many boutique wineries and restaurants, cafes and even outdoor concerts in season. If you’re booking for a group, we know a local mini bus tour company who would be more than happy to pick you up and drop you back to Wine Down Manor, meaning everyone gets to enjoy their day without worrying about driving!
