The Cane Cutter's Cottage is pure relaxation in your own private retreat in luxuriant tropical gardens with just wallabies, birds and butterflies for company. Just 5 minutes from all the action of Airlie Beach, it's a true getaway from where you can enjoy the best of everything from islands and coral reefs to rain forest walks and off the beaten track beach bars (yes we can tell you about these!). It's also really well equipped with everything from loads of towels, to coffee machine, baby Weber BBQ on the breezy verandah, not to mention all the ambiance of a much loved 100 year old completely restored home. Featured in many international articles and recently in a book of iconic Australian buildings, its polished floorboards and kitchen made from the recycled roofing timbers and iron during the restoration ooze charm, comfort and ambience. Spend your days exploring knowing that you'll be coming home to your own space for evenings on the verandah, with perfumes of the frangipani flowers and rainforest sounds.
We are long term round-the world sailors who made Airlie Beach home back in the 1980's, after visiting from our then home in the Caribbean. We'll share our Whitsundays with you, our guests, so you get the very best out of your time here.
Braithwaite Court is considered amongst 'the best' streets in the Whitsundays! We think our neighbourhood is great, we all have space, peace and quiet in a busy tourist town. And yet, in just a minute or so away is the Whitsundays largest shopping centre and a few minutes further, Airlie Beach for great restaurants and boat trips to the islands and Great Barrier Reef.
