Boasting commanding views along Main Beach to the Gold Coast, and overlooking the Coral Sea, Whale Watch Ocean Beach Resort offers 40 expansive, fully self-contained holiday apartments at Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island. Each style of apartment within the complex has a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer, flat screen tv and lounge and dining areas as well as balconies and undercover car parking. Guests are welcome to make the most of our well-equipped fitness center, games room, heated outdoor pool, spa pool and barbecue area. With varying aspects of the pristine natural environment within the grounds and surrounding the resort, Whale Watch is a safe haven for local fauna, like the kangaroos, curlews and bandicoots who frequent the grounds every day to the delight of our guests. Watch whales from your balcony and the headlands from June to November and enjoy the ever-changing seascapes all year round. North Stradbroke Island is accessed by vehicle ferry or passenger water taxi from Cleveland in Brisbane, and we are conveniently located near the impressive Gorge Walk and Point Lookout Surf Club on Main Beach.

We have been managing the property since early September 2019 and have really enjoyed seeing the improvements around grounds, the pool, and Reception with the addition of a Resort shop. Our staff enjoy making sure all our guests have a wonderful stay here.

Impormasyon ng accommodation

Our elevated position affords fantastic views of the ocean and along Main Beach from our Premium Ocean Front Apartments, Penthouses and our Luxury Ocean Front Apartments all the way to the Gold Coast. It is the ideal place to witness the majesty of the the annual Humpback Whale Migration from early June to November. We are fortunate to share our grounds with the resident local kangaroos and curlews whose antics can be seen most afternoons and early evenings, and is a special treat for all our guests.

Whale Watch Resort is perfectly positioned in Point Lookout to see all the wonderful attractions so close. We are 350m from Main Beach and North Gorge Board Walk which is a must do. The board walk is perfect for viewing the Humpback Whales on their annual migration North and also on their return South, and for seeing dolphins, turtles and manta rays. We are 5 minute walk to cafes, restaurants, local specialty shops and grocery stores.
