Wanderers Retreat is my home which I share with my guests. I offer three comfortable guest rooms with-in walking distance of the centre of town and the lake. It is 30 minutes from both ski resorts, Thredbo and Perisher. The bus to the resorts leave from next to my home. One room has an en-suite bathroom while the other two rooms share the large main bathroom. A continental breakfast is provided but there is strictly no cooking or kitchen facilities for guests. Wanderers Retreat is within walking distance of variety of pubs and restaurants. There is also Wi-Fi and off-street parking. A very comfortable guest lounge with TV and a wood fire is available for guests.
My love of the snow and the Snowy Mountains brought me here where I managed ski lodges before starting my own business nearly 20 years ago. I love meeting and welcoming to my home my guests, who come from all parts of the world, and advising them of places to eat and local activities. I love travelling and skiing overseas when I get the opportunity.
Wanderers Retreat has views of the lake and is within easy walking distance of the lake and town where there is a wide variety of cafes, pubs and restaurants. The ski resorts are our main attraction during winter for downhill and cross-country skiing. In summer people enjoy a variety of water activities on the lake as well as fishing, bush walking and mountain biking. Mount Kosciusko is a favourite destination for walkers of all ages.
