Mount Tomah is a lush hideaway in the Blue Mountains that works as both a Retreat and a lovely quiet place to come and relax. While staying at the retreat you can book into a meditation class, an animal Reiki class, Walk the Living Labyrinth or a one-hour Reiki treatment. There are 3 Adult Only accommodations at Tomah Retreat, made for couples with a unique style. From smallest to largest: RELAX is a smart, stylish (yet quirky) north-facing room with a fireplace, a small kitchenette, and a large bathroom with raindrop shower. CHILL is the king bed boudoir with a clawfoot bath for French bathing and fireplace, BREATHE has a king bed and fireplace, a bay window seat in the sun and kitchenette. Tomah Retreat began life as a meditation centre in 2002 and still holds regular retreats here. To that end there are many peaceful nooks on the property including a rather large treehouse, a contemplation tree for you to sit in, and a living labyrinth to walk in. Some animals on the property include Bowie the maremma, Flora the pig, Daisy the little rescue pup, Mister the Norwegian Forest cat, and sweet little Precious the youngest cat as well as chickens.
Bronwen has been running meditation retreats from Tomah Retreat since 2002 and loves being able to show-off the natural beauties of the mountain and all the lovely rescue animals that have found their way to the retreat over the years. Bronwen enjoys writing, eating and growing delicious food, teaching and practicing meditation, and the company of her animal friends.
We are just one minute away from the famous Blue Mountains Botanical Gardens, which has free entry and a lovely restaurant for lunch. Bilpin (just 5 minutes away) is known for its apples and cherries and more recently its delicious Cider. There are two Cellar Doors in Bilpin. And further up the road are the beautiful open gardens of Mount Wilson. There are also some beautiful bush walks in the area. Enjoy!
