Sur Le Mont – Blackheath New studio apartment: - (40 sq Meters approx.) 1 bedroom; 1 lounge with key box access. 6 min walk to Blackheath village. Although, it is connected to our home, it is completely private and it has its own private entrance accommodating from 2 to 4 people. * The kitchenette is NOT a full kitchen, however is has a fridge & freezer, microwave, kettle, sandwich maker, toaster, coffee maker (French Press), kitchen utensils, cutlery, dinnerware and glasses for up to 4 people. *(NB: There is no cooktop ie oven or electric frypan) In essence the studio has everything you need for your visit to the beautiful Blue Mountains!

With the recent pandemic one cannot place enough emphasis on health and safety for everyone. Therefore we only accept bookings from people and their guests who are fully vaccinated and naturally we would ask to see proof of that. We are Martin and Mary, relatively new to Airbnb. We are loving the different people we meet from all over the world. Mary is a teacher and I am involved with a number of IT related businesses and travel a lot for work, mostly to Asia. We are pretty easy going and laid back - not too much upsets us. All we want is for our guests to be comfortable and experience the Blue Mountains that most tourists don't realise exists!! We live in a truly beautiful part of the world with all of the good bits more or less very close by! Blackheath is the best kept secret in the Blue Mountains- its truely lovely. Blackheath is a beautiful village with a bohemian soul, punching well above its weight with cool cafes, galleries and local markets. It’s also surrounded by some of the most spectacular wilderness and jaw-dropping lookouts in the Blue Mountains National Park, including Govetts Leap with its far-reaching views over the densely-carpeted Grose Valley. Spectacular hikes Nearby, the Blue Mountains Heritage Centre offers advice and information about world-class bush walks, including the Clifftop Trail from Govetts Leap to Evans Lookout and the rainforest-clad Grand Canyon Track. (Note that some popular tracks, such as the trail to Pulpit Rock, were badly damaged during the 2019/2020 bushfires, and still remain closed as the vulnerable landscape recovers.) Local style Blackheath’s eclectic shopping scene is all about local and retro. Visit the Victory Theatre Antique Centre, adorned with a colourful Jenny Kee mural, for quality antiques and collectibles, or make a pilgrimage on the second Sunday from February to December for the popular Blackheath Growers Market. The fresh and local theme continues in Blackheath’s vibrant dining scene in inner city-worthy cafes such as Side B Vinyl and Hounslow; relax over a cold beer at the New Ivanhoe pub hosted by the local Irish Licensee Rachel Tallon - they have Guinness on tap; or enjoy travel-inspired fine dining at Cinnabar Kitchen.
