The Shepherd's Cottage is nestled in amongst the trees in one corner of the historic convict Water-Tower property. This unique space is an experience. A little more up market than when our Shepherds first arrived in Tasmania in the early days. You have a queen size bed, kitchenette modern ensuite, table & two chairs, TV with Netflix, Admire the handmade Leadlight windows that reflect the style of the historic property.

On our many holiday travels, we fell in love with a Convict Water Tower in Evandale Tasmania. Then a spur of the moment decision to have a "sea-change", We purchased; We Moved & We Renovated this magnificent property with it's 1940's Home on approximately an acre of botanical like gardens. Along with a stunning Water Tower which today is kept full of water to preserve the brick structure built by the convicts. As we enjoy hosting & creating that special atmosphere. Meeting wonderful warm & friendly people of Evandale and at the end of the day there is nothing better than to relax in a peaceful space you can call home even when your away.

You are with-in walking distance to the main street (Russell Street) 2 minutes away, all on flat ground. See the beautiful St. Andrews church along the way. Call in to the information center to look at the mini museum and collect some Tourist information on what to see and do in this magnificent are. Evandale is very much an old English village with so many historic features. Visit Ingles Bakery for breakfast or just pop in for Tea/Coffee & Cake. Book a table for dinner at the beautifully renovated Clarendon Arms Hotel or casual eats at No10 Restaurant. Not to be missed is the famous Sunday markets held in Falls Park, see the stature of Mr. Glover the Artist. When you are finished at the markets why not sit in the beer garden and listen to the Jazz Band, then finally meander back to the landmark the Water-Tower.
