Wylah Cottage is the very last house at the end of Simpsons Bay Road, where you get to enjoy a quiet and peaceful Bruny, the way it was 30 years ago. From the veranda, you will have stunning vistas over Simpsons Bay, the Neck and towards Tasman Island and you don't even have to leave the house for the most amazing sun rises. Simpsons Bay is central to everything on Bruny and an ideal spot, from which to explore this beautiful island. I’m excited and proud to share my home, Wylah Cottage with you. As an old house, she's not perfect for everyone. She lacks even surfaces or right angles, the floor boards creak and she's always a work in progress. If you’re looking for perfect, shiny and new, Wylah will not be for you. If you appreciate character, a loving touch and what the Danish call Hygge or the Germans call Gemuetlichkeit, then you’ve come to the right place and Wylah may be perfect for you. She certainly invites to linger and enjoy the views, watch the birds and feed the wallabies.

Hi! I'm Suhela. I live in Simpsons Bay, the best corner of Bruny Island, in my humble and completely biased opinion. I'm a keen traveller and use Airbnb a lot as a traveler and as a host I’m looking forward to meeting you and helping you have a most memorable stay on this beautiful island. Somebody said to me the other day that Simpsons Bay Road is still like Bruny was 30 years ago. I haven't lived here for that long but I certainly do appreciate the quiet, peacefulness and exceptionally beauty side of the area. Please drive all the way to the end of Simpsons Bay Road, beyond the boat ramp and the "No turning beyond this point" sign and pull into the driveway of number 449. From Hobart, it’s a 30 minute drive to Kettering and a 20 minute ferry ride to get to the island. It is a is a 35 minute drive from the Roberts Point ferry to Wylah. Simpsons Bay Road is a windy dirt road. Please drive carefully, especially between dusk and dawn where the roads on Bruny are full of wildlife. Simpsons Bay is ideally located to explore the island: a short drive from the Neck as well as many of Bruny's attractions, shops and restaurants.
