Caloundra Houseboats is owned and operated by married couple Ken and Julie. The company has just one boat - our pride and joy named the Wallamba. Ken, who will show you how to operate the boat, is a mad keen kayaker, a qualified mariner with a decade of experience on Pumicestone Passage as a jetski guide and a skipper on a 72 person cruise boat. There's not much he doesn't know about the Pumicestone Passage waterway.

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. The Wallamba is Julie and Ken's eight berth houseboat. Equipped with kayaks and Stand Up Paddleboards, the Wallamba takes you away from the city lights and into the heart of Pumicestone Passage – renowned worldwide for spectacular sunsets and birdlife. We have two products available: the Houseboat experience (or mobile home) where you are the skipper and you can drive the boat. The second option is the Floating Apartment - the boat stays at the jetty, and the boat becomes an apartment with a difference. Minimum stay is two nights for both options.

Guests board the Wallamba at the Pelican Waters Tavern Jetty. As the name suggests, our neighbour is the Pelican Waters Tavern - and it serves good value pub meals. Within 100m of the boat is a shopping centre with two supermarkets and a bottle shop, so that means, guests can stock up on supplies and simply wheel their groceries from the checkout to the boat. There is lots of parking nearby. Make sure your vehicle is locked before you set off on the boat.
