I am Kate & my husband is Adrian. We have 4 independent adult children and 3 grand dogs and 3 grand cats! (no humans at this stage!) We purchased this property on the 1st of October 2021, just as Melbourne was coming out of lockdown number 5,332 !!!! We have moved from Gembrook in the Yarra Ranges. Our home is also situated at the entrance to the property, where we live with our 2 dogs and 2 cats! From the front of each of the cottages, you will see our rare Persian Sheep and our mother alpaca and her cria (baby) who do a fine job at protecting the flock. We are currently in the process of rejuvenating the property with a much needed makeover. I enjoy gardening and creating 'rooms' in the garden with a lot of native plants to encourage the birdlife & beneficial insects. This is what we are currently working on. Adrian is a tradie who enjoys tinkering, so his knowledge in the use of different materials, is perfect this project; and whilst it is enormous, is just what we love doing. We both also enjoy renovating, which we will start shortly on our own home in between renovating the existing gardens to make them something to remember. We know you are going to love it here!

Four Gorgeous Storybook Cottages are set on 5 acres, surrounded by the stunning rolling hills of the beautiful South Gippsland! You will find this place peaceful & it will most certainly rejuvenate your soul! Maple Ridge is located 15 mins from Leongatha, Mirboo North & Meeniyan. We are located in the hills, away from the township which is perfect if you are wanting a true 'Getaway!' Maple Ridge offers a relaxing stay & this is our sole focus. We do not have other activities available for our guests, just the most relaxing landscape to help recharge your batteries, gorgeous well maintained cottages, as well a BBQ area and fire pit for your to sit around and enjoy. Come, Sit, Relax!

Neighborhood info

The area is mostly a dairy farming country with some cropping, sheep farming and the occasional alpaca or three. Our property is surrounded by jersey cows who are extremely inquisitive! We occasionally have a couple of free loaders break through to eat our grassy paddock, which I dont mind at all! Maple Ridge Cottages located in the hills away from any shopping precincts, yet it is the perfect central location for all of your travel plans. It is located central (15mins) to Leongatha, Mirboo North & Meeniyan, where you can shop for your needs and is only around an hour to Wilsons Prom, 90 mins to Phillip Island or travel north east to the old historical mining town of Walhalla, around 80 minutes away. Of course, we have quaint little towns to explore in the area such as Fish Creek, Loch & Foster to name but a few. There are many fantastic walks to waterfalls such as Lyrebird Falls in Mirboo North or Agnes Falls as well as the rail trail which will take you through the beautiful lush farmland of South Gippsland. Beaches such as Tidal River, Waratah Bay & Sandy Beach are definitely worth a visit!
