Simon Burley is a Fleurieu local who has a long career working in gin, whisky, wine and tourism. It's taken him from London to Inverness to Sydney and now back to his beloved Fleurieu, a journey which has inspired a love of landscapes, nature and of course the tipples that go with each place he's worked. The Coastal Lodge has emerged from a very simple drive – Simon's love of hosting people in the region he has been scampering around since a child, as his desire to introduce them to the company he now keeps. It’s this company – winemakers, grape growers, farmers, foodies, brewers, baristas, park rangers - that are all on easily visited from Simon's coastal lodge or accessible via Simon's personal tour business across the region.

Two of the Fleurieu's best beaches are within 5 minutes drive - Carrickalinga and Myponga Beaches. McLaren Vale, one of SA's most celebrated wine regions is 20 minutes away.
