Richard and I are keen travelers with a real zest for knowledge. We enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and love to learn of their experiences and adventures. We love our pets and the garden and birds that surround our home. We are very happy and contented people.

Property info

We bought our 100 acre property in 1990, and were blessed with an amazing ruin on it. In the 26 years since then we have raised 3 children fully restored the ruin to a beautiful pioneer Homestead, run a successful Cafe and gourmet food business and accommodation. Today we just run the accommodation, with 2 self contained accommodations and 2 rooms in the Homestead we run as B&B. We cater for large crowds accommodating up to 20 people. Our property is surrounded by beautiful gardens and prolific bird life. It is peaceful and a lovely break from the hectic side of life. Due to the limestone ridge to the back of our property, WiFi is not available and mobile service is intermittent. This is a great opportunity to go off grid and enjoy the beauty of the area and distress.

Neighborhood info

Greenough was settled in the 1850's as a potentially good farming area. There are many stone ruins to testify of the successful farming community that existed here. It is well known for the leaning trees that dot the landscape. Today it is still a successful farming area though many people have chosen to live on hobby farms with bigger farmers moving to the back flats.
