Established in 1850's the Barossa Barn is a converted barn and one of the original properties built in the historic town of Penrice/Angaston. The B&B outbuilding is a self-contained double story stone cottage situated behind the main building with a separate gated entrance. The quirky features in the cottage gives you the feeling of yesteryear, yet has all the modern conveniences for a comfortable and relaxing stay. **Your stay includes a voucher for a cooked breakfast at a local cafe in Angaston per person daily (5 minute drive).**

Neil & Julie moved from Adelaide to The Barossa Valley in 2015 as a country lifestyle change and also to persue our vision and new venture into the Bed & Breakfast industry. We were excited to find this historic property and have both enjoyed transforming the property and self-contained Cottage for our guests to enjoy. Located in the heart of the Barossa Valley, Angaston is one of South Australia’s oldest towns. Founded in the 1840’s Angaston just celebrated its 175th birthday. Nestled in the Barossa Range Angaston is a charming village of about 2000 people and a mecca for tourists with many of the original buildings still intact. It was named after one of South Australia’s founders, George Fife Angas, who sponsored many of the region’s early German Settlers. Home to the oldest public building in the Barossa and full of beautiful examples of classic 19th-century architecture. Penrice is a 5 minute drive to Angaston, rich in history with great restaurants, cafes, tourist attractions and wineries. The Barossa Valley is renowned for having some of the best food, wine and culture, yet has so much more to offer. Come and taste the local produce at the Barossa Farmers Market, just 5 minutes away on Saturday mornings.
