This family-run, newly renovated guest house is beautifully located in the beautiful town of Obertraun in the Salzkammergut region, only a few steps away from the shores of picturesque Lake Hallstatt. Haus Hepi B&B has a lounge area with sofas, a mini bar, tea and coffee-making facilities and a log-burning stove. The panoramic mountain scenery can be admired from the bedrooms’ south-facing balconies and from the terrace. The traditionally furnished rooms have modern bathrooms. The hearty breakfast buffet is served on the sunny terrace in fair weather. Some evenings dinner is served by prior arrangement. The dining room has views of the surrounding mountains and forests. Haus Hepi B&B is close to the Dachstein Caves, the historic town of Hallstatt, and the spa town of Bad Ischl. The Krippenstein ski area is only 1.2 mi away. The Dachstein-West region with 87 mi of slopes can be reached in only 20 minutes. There are many hiking and biking trails that start at Haus Hepi B&B.

We look forward to welcoming you to our corner of paradise. Our guesthouse has been designed to help our guests feel relaxed and at home. We are always on hand at breakfast time to answer questions or offer advice about your holiday plans. Our spacious breakfast room offers panoramic views of the mountains. Our guests like to take their time over our highly rated breakfast with a good selection of local and home made produce, most notably our home made jams and cakes. Our guest rooms have large/extra large beds & comfortable chairs, we also offer a guest lounge with sofas, chairs on the balconies and a terrace to enjoy the wonderful views from. We offer a free tea and coffee facility with cookies and a self-service mini bar.
My wife, Lisa and I look forward to personally welcoming you to Haus Hepi to share our little corner of paradise in Obertraun. We settled here from England in 2003 where I was an executive chef and Lisa a catering manager. We love to welcome guests from all over the world and enjoy conversing with them, mostly over travel experiences. We are able to share with you our extensive knowledge of the region gained over the past 16 years running our B&B. Our particular interests are, hiking, biking, skiing and of course, good food!
Guests love our neighbourhood as it is very convenient if you don't have a car. The bus stop and train station to Hallstatt & the cablecar are only a 5 minute walk from Haus Hepi and restaurants and the lakeside just under 10 mins! However, guests most love the view of the mountains from Haus Hepi, the peace and tranquility being located on the edge of the forest.
