We are a family that holds tradition at its core. We cherish it in the values we instill, especially with our guests. The lady of the house is the daughter of the great stone master who built the cobblestone streets of Gjirokastër, Simi Llukani. Our family is one of the cherished contributors to preserving the artisan heritage of the city and its traditions. In every detail of the house, we have endeavored to preserve this heritage. Your experience will truly be unique, and we are confident that it will bring you back to us again.
The "Palorto" neighborhood can be considered one of the most important and oldest neighborhoods in the city. Its main characteristic is the intensive use of stone in the construction of houses, which resemble small castles. All lead to the Qafa e Pazarit, which is only a 10-minute walk away. In this neighborhood, you can visit the Ethnographic Museum, located in the house where the former communist dictator, Enver Hoxha, was born. You can also visit the Zekate family house, one of the most magnificent and characteristic buildings of Gjirokastër. Additionally, you will find many other important traditional buildings in the area. The Palorto neighborhood also houses the famous "Sokaku i të Marreve" (Street of the Madmen). Just 5 minutes away, you'll find the reconstructed house of the famous Albanian writer, Ismail Kadare, winner of numerous literary awards.
