The owners are super lovely, they were there for check in and gave us a great recommendation for dinner, even coming out to show us the way! The room was clean and comfortable and other facilities were great. Really good value for money too.
Great location to go on several hikes in Alishan. The property has cats that are the cutest and the breakfast is good.

Great location in the middle of Fenchihu. Really characterful building and rooms. Although an old 'character' property - definitely not a luxury hotel - there were lots of unexpected thoughtful touches ( e.g.Alishan tea and teaset in room, old cedar wood bath and bathing salts) that really added to our stay. Do ask about firefly tours - we did one and it was a highlight of our trip, with hundreds of fireflies seen.
Being welcomed by a staff speaking English is very convenient as well as having a 7/11 upstairs. The bento of the hotel is cheap and absolutely delicious: it is definitely a must try during your stay!
Great location close to the tea trails and other trails, not so touristy as Alishan scenic area. House was nice, nice bedroom, breakfast is local with tasteful tea , and toasts.
It's peaceful, quiet, serene, great location, excellent view. Room size was great and spacious and clean. Owner was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and nice. Highly recommend this property.
Great location in the town. Comfortable bed. Near all the shops of the town and close to the train station. Staff is super nice, they gave us a map and explain us the great trails to go and how long they take.
Great location for all hikes in the area, and very conveniently located in walking distance from the village bus stop. I was even picked up by the host when i arrived. A very nice and big dinner can be booked, a very tasty breakfast is included. I loved my room and bathroom, everything seemed very clean and new. In the morning i participated in a (free) tea ceremony which was interesting and very good. You can also find many other places in the area doing something similar, but it really felt like a meditative ceremony and i loved the tea.
Great location with fantastic views of the mountain (perfect for sunset watching). Host was very friendly and his tea was delicious!
We were looking for a quieter alternative to Alishan and this was perfect! The area had beautiful hikes and we were able to have them basically to ourselves. The cabin was super cozy and it was a lovely place to relax for a few days. The owners are very friendly and the food was great too! We took the bus from Chiayi one direction and a taxi the other way, so you have options depending on your budget. Definitely recommend
