One of the few hostels in my experience where everything is well thought out and does not require extra effort. Entrance to the hostel and the room is by pin code, which you get at check-in or by email if the receptionist is already out of shift. The rooms have high ceilings, so even the second tier of beds is spacious and there is plenty of air. Each bed is equipped with an out socket, a lamp, privacy curtains, a locker and a drawer, the keys for which don't require a deposit. The communal kitchen has a fridge, stove, tea, coffee.

Alina who led us to the great boat party the first night also took us out a few times on her free nights - she took charge when the group got indecisive but got us to explore some really cool bars. Mirko offered to make me some authentic Italian pasta with seasoning he carried from back home! All in all it felt like a family, and would recommend if traveling solo and up to meet new people. I’m 35 so was apprehensive at first if I had gotten too old for this - verdict is, it’s still a really fun way to solo travel!
