The hostel is located next to a river, slightly uphill from the quiet village - on a clear day, the mountain backdrop is quite stunning. Easy to reach if you have a car, bus connection to Bled station is also easy to find. It’s the perfect location if your main purpose is visiting Vintgar gorge (about 20mins walk from the hostel). The second I stepped in, it felt like staying at a friend’s house. Katya & Ryan are exceptionally friendly, they’re very knowledgeable about the area. They provided one of the best breakfast I’ve had in hostels. Rooms were clean, bathrooms & toilets were spacious. The nearby river creates a relaxed ambience, we can also sit next to the water on a hammock or stools they provided.

The communication and friendliness among staff was amazing. I stayed here last year and as soon as my friends mentioned that they wanted to visit Bled, I automatically booked us a room here. Dating back to 1930, this historic house has been a welcoming haven for backpackers for over 80 years. Really nice people, and a really great dining/chilling area - it’s big and can accommodate a lot of people. Very helpful staff and great location on the edge of town but still very close
