Stefano and Pedro are wonderful hosts, I feel sheepish about not spending enough time in the garden relaxing and conversing - was too busy running around the island! The hostel is on a quiet street in the centre of Madalena, with stunning views over the Pico mountain. Rooms are spacious, each bed is curtained off for privacy, equipped with a power socket, a lamp and a fan, nice firm mattress. All communal areas are clean, and the garden is just awesome! You get a choice of cats to cuddle, and a dog :) The shared kitchen has everything you need for cooking or storing food items. Also, if you have an early start - like, climbing the mountain,- you can have tea, cereal, yoghurt and jam on toast - before the official breakfast time, just tidy up after yourself - but you'll miss the pancakes..... Definitely a hostel-home experience that I recommend and that is firmly on my re-visit bucket list!

The hostel is amazing, our room, N.5, was wonderful and everything was very clean, room and common kitchen equipped with all the necessary. Alexandra is very nice and kind, the service is excellent. I really recommend this place and the restaurant Bistro to have a very good dinner. We had a wonderful stay, thank you all! Muita Obrigada!

Super clean and everything seems newly decorated, this place was decorated with great care. Lockers in the dorm room (bring a padlock or they offer to give you one), views of the mountain and a great kitchen, lounge and garden. Location was central and 2 mins to the port.

Very nice location, one of the best in Pico, in my opinion. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets. Plenty of parking spaces and a nice view over the ocean :) The house is very clean and equipped with the basics one might need. The communication was very good, at all times there was a phone number available. And the bonus: books! Books everywhere!! Loved this place so much!

It features free WiFi access. ここは、修道院を改装した貴重な宿泊施設です。大変貴重な体験をした。ドミトリーもあったが、今回は、私は個室の部屋に泊まった。個室はドミトリーより少し値段が高いが、周りの宿泊施設に比べたら、この個室の値段は安いと思った。キッチンはなく、朝食/バイキング　付き。徒歩25分に、PICO na brasa という美味しいレストランあり。
