Location 5 minutes from the airport by car, from the ferry in Velas about 15'. Very comfortable, clean and large room with private bathroom, large balcony with seating area, kitchen for the hostel well equipped and spacious. The owner is lovely and kind. In the hill by the main road above the town of Urzalina where there is a pool, shop, bar and several excellent restaurants, very nice place. Buses don't run here, car needed. Great view of Pico. It was a very nice stay in Sao J which is very hilly.

Located in Calheta, Azores Youth Hostels - São Jorge features a shared lounge. The hostel also provides free WiFi and free private parking. At the hostel, all rooms come with a desk. Clean, quiet, air con, breakfast included, and for fair price...I absolutely do not understand why they are rated only 7,2. It is fantastic! Cant complain.
