Tapay
Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Posada Gloria is located in Tapay, 43 km from Colca Canyon. The hostel provides city views, a terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. Great spot to stay. A little oasis!
Chivay
Sumac wasi is situated in Chivay, 3.7 km from La Calera Hot Spring and 3.7 km from Colca Archaeological Natural Museum. Boasting a shared lounge, the hostel is close to several noted attractions, around 300 metres from Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 500 metres from Chivay Arena and 600 metres from Bus Station. Main Square is 300 metres from the hostel. The place was like in the pictures.
Cabanaconde
Located in Cabanaconde and with Colca Canyon reachable within 26 km, Lonko Hostel Cabanaconde provides a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar.
Guest rooms at the hostel are equipped with a shared bathroom equipped with a bidet.
The bed was really comfy. Our room was at the back and was a bit chilly even in full sun, but there was enough blankets. The hostel has a tiny kitchen on the highest level where they serve breakfast with the view on the main square.
The hostel in the heart of Cabanaconde is easy to find and it has a friendly atmosphere thanks to local and international long-time residents of Peru. It's obvious that Ludwig and the team are passionate about giving guests a smart strategy to make the most of their time in colca. Thanks for the stay!
The llahuar lodge is one of the best hostel lodges I’ve ever stayed at. It’s a long hike to get there but it’s so worth it for the tranquil and natural hot springs at the base of the canyon. The food provided at the restaurant is tasty and reasonable. The family running the place is incredibly warm and kind, the best Peru has to offer. Try to take a dip after dark to enjoy the Andean night sky, shooting stars, and the Milky Way above.
The hosts were extraordinarily gracious, helpful, welcoming, and kind. We truly felt at home and cared for. The hostel itself is beautiful, with a creative and friendly atmosphere. The location is perfect. Hikers are supported with an invaluable map, individual guidance, and fellow hikers to talk with. The room was extremely comfortable. The food was delicious. We are grateful we stayed here and hope to come back.
Nice place, rooms were basic and only one shared bathroom. But food was good and cheap and the view amazing, we also liked the hot pools!
The hostel is situated in a beautiful location surrounded with lots of gardens and threes. There is a swimming pool too. The place is designed nicely for relaxation. The room was quite big and we had a private bathroom. The food was very good.

We really enjoyed our stay in this little gem of a hostel. The host was really lovely and the breakfast on the terrace was a highlight.
Casa de Anita is in a great location, right in the main square of Chivay. The hotel is a nice building with well decorated common areas. Room is spacious and clean. We had a very good time!
Great location, great pool, big portions of food, hot showers, wifi, snacks and drinks. We walked round the other hostels in the valley and this was by far the nicest. Cocktails and food is reasonably priced.
