New Plymouth
Located on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island, Ariki Backpackers is just 100 metres from New Plymouth's shops, pubs and bus terminal. It offers a restaurant, a tour desk and a communal kitchen.
Ariki Backpackers offers dormitories and private rooms. Rooms with private bathroom facilities are available. There are female-only and male-only dorms on offer.
I love this place. Just stayed there for three nights last week. Rob the boss is so nice. He gave me some great advice when I check in. Before that, he emailed me about the karaoki bar next door, said it may be a little bit noisy on weekend. And there are some earplugs at the front desk if I need. That doesn't bother me at all because I'm a heavy sleeper. Such a thoughtful person.
The bed sheet is very clean. The suite bathroom and the floor is very neat too. It's great bargain to rent bike for 10 bucks half a day. And last but not the least, these is a beautiful cat.
Great location with easy access to beach and walk to the township. Lovely views over the beach from the terrace. Very quiet - very spacious.
Great location close to the mountain. Comfortable accommodation. Restaurant was fantastic, food quality was top-notch along with the service. Cosy atmosphere with a lovely fire.
Lovely room, great location
Good location and great for backpackers (we don’t like backpacking) so hard to review properly but it had all the facilities it needed. We moved hotels due to the noise during the night from other travellers but it was overall a nice hostel.
Cute backpackers hostel. Close to centre of town. Good clean facilities and liked kitchen and dining room.
- great location (right in the CBD, next to InterCity bus stop, close to Coastal Walkway) - facilities (washing machine, kitchen etc.) - cheap - they had at least one cat - very nice and helpful staff - informed me before my stay that it might be noisy at night
The room was spacious and very clean and warm the decor was a little dated BUT it was one of their budget rooms. So if you wanted more modern just pay a little extra ( we didn't need to as were not in the room much). Great location and staff are super friendly.
Great location, safe, clean and nice room. Very comfortable bed.
We came on a motorcycle and had free parking across from the backpackers in the car park complex. Great location. Central for our needs.
