Set in Auckland, Verandahs Parkside Lodge has a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. It's a really clean, well kept hostel. It also backs onto a beautiful local park and is a great location for staying in the city. I would definitely stay here again.

Located in Turangi, Riverstone Lodge, a 5-star hostel, offers a shared kitchen, a shared lounge and free WiFi. The property provides garden views and a terrace. Hostel is wery nice, well equipped and feels like home! Great place to stay for Tongariro Crossing. Sandra is extremely helpful and provides you with lot of information.

Set in Kerikeri, 20 km from Opua Forest, Relax a Lodge offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. A lovely little house provided with everything you would need. Beautiful orchards right outside. Very peaceful. Kerikeri is a great base for visiting other places like Russell. It also has great markets!

Boasting a shared lounge, a restaurant as well as a bar, LyLo Auckland is set in the centre of Auckland, 2.9 km from Masefield Beach. Everything. :) Lylo is a type of hostel that you will have a hard time leaving. It is designed very thoughtful with backpackers needs in mind but can accommodate families as well. You’ve got a large kitchen with multiple cooking stoves, big fridges and cubbies to store your food. You have plenty of communal space for bigger groups or just to hang out by yourself and work in silence. There is also a very vibrant bar that is part of Lylo which serves as perfect opportunity to meet fellow backpackers. 11/10 for the whole experience, I loved everything about Lylo, will definitely recommend it to friends and family and would recommend to basically anyone looking for a decent hostel in Auckland.
