HI Bergen Hostel Montana is situated up the hillside of Mount Ulriken, about 3.6 km from Bergen City Centre and easily accessed by public transportation. A grocery store and different hiking trails are located next to the hostel. Free parking is available for our guests. the breakfast was the best thing ever!! so delicious! and the hike to Ulriken starts in front of the hostel's door which was awesome

The absolute best hostel I've ever stayed in. The location, scenery and facilities were unmatched. Facilities included, bar, kitchen, sauna, bathroom for each room and plenty of outdoor seating with access to the lake. It was possible to leave luggage after checkout and the staff were extremely helpful.
The location is incredible with a beautiful view of Bergen and the surrounding mountains. The volunteers who work with the hostel to provide high quality daily tours/trips are a brilliant addition. Solo travelling along with so many others there meant it was an amazing way to meet new people. Positioned right on the path to Mt Ulriken means you can get to the highest point in Bergen without any issues.
We had a twin room, shared bathroom. Room was normal size for a hostel, bunk beds, tidy. Kitchen, living and dining area was clean & neat. Kitchen had everything you needed. Good location to groceries and sights. Was quiet.
Well driven rule based hostel with nice indoor and outdoor facilities with nice mountain views. Its in safe distance of the cruise ships and the habour yet close enough to walk there.
The hostel is very conveniently located, just a few minutes away on foot from the historical port of the city. The facilities are quite well organized and they are ideal for on-budget travellers.
Great location, short walk to the train station, short walk into city centre, a supermarket downstairs and a cheaper one just down the street, as well as a Cafe next door and a few restaurants on the street. The apartment was big for one bedroom and was a nice place to stay for a while. We liked that we could cook food in the kitchen and wash clothes while there. Lots of natural lighting and stayed warm.

This hostel is perfectly located, in the centre of Bergen. The staff is really nice and welcoming, the common areas were clean, the kitchen and dining room really spacious. There are lockers in each dormitory, and a free locked storage room. Everything was perfect, this hostel is very safe and calm, excellent place to discover Bergen !
The hostel is walking distance from Bergen centre and easy to find. Check in was easy enough and receptionist was polite and friendly. The room was a standard 10 person hostel room, lockable lockers were provided and each bed had a little light and plug socket. Toilets and showers were acceptable but nothing special. For the price it was decent enough but nothing special. 7/10 would stay again if needed cheap stay in Bergen.
Access to the kitchen, delicious breakfast, cheap price, nice staff, good location (easy to reach by bus from city centre, close to Ulriken mountian), shop in the neighborhood. There are also some activities in living room to meet new people (etc. karaoke). We were satisfied with our stay in this hostel :)
