They provide 2 bottles of water, personal shampoo, shower gel, and towel as well. Neat, and clean. Coffee and breakfast are given at a discounted price for guests (50%) from their cafe. The main part is, today (25 oct) my birthday, they wished me a cake, I was just surprised about their hospitality, and benevolence. Highly recommend.

Everything was great—the place, the cats, the staff, the location, etc. However, a note for the ladies: the wash area is on the 3rd floor, but some of us, including myself, have been using the male bathroom on the 2nd floor. A staff member even saw me using it but didn't say anything. A few of the travelers I met mentioned that the staff and male guests don't mind at all, so it's not really an issue. Still, it was a bit embarrassing for me. 🫢

Very lovely hostel. conveniently located near by the Jonker Street. Very easy to walk to. The host, Sharom, is very friendly and welcoming. He took care of his guests well and made sure that the place feels much like home - I felt very safe staying there. He took me out to have roti nearby, which was very delicious The volunteer staff was also welcoming and helpful. The place, including the bathroom, kitchen, common area, and dorm room, was spacious and clean. There are tea, coffee and biscuits provided for the guests if needed.

Located a 2-minute walk from the heart of Chinatown, Kota Lodge offers free Wi-fi throughout its premises. It offers rooms with shared or en suite bathrooms. We had a private room with shared bathroom and it was just fine. Excellent value for money, staff incredibly warm and nice, they were so helpful. Basic but clean, A/C and wifi worked great, clean sheets and towels, what else do you need?!
