It is a bit 'in the wild' but that is the beauty of it - it is right next to the park and there are lots of animals (especially birds) to see. The owner was very friendly and arranged pick-up for me and bought some curd and treacle to try. He also played pool with me (yes, there is a large and well kept pool table there.) As it was quiet when I was there he kindly gave me a better room for the same price. He also owns riverside cabanas which I recommend staying at.# Nearby is a beautiful beach that looks prehistoric and you can walk along the sand dunes.

Owner was super nice and helpful if there was any issue or enquiry, very responsive. The place was clean. The balcony overlooking palm trees was so nice!

The location is amazing as it's right next to the beach and you can watch the sunrise from the terrace. Everything is very clean and the bathrooms are spacious and have a hot shower. Nice common area and good food. Great value for money. I would definitely come back!

I had an absolutely delightful stay at Hamba Hostel for Safari! The room was impeccably clean and provided a serene and calming atmosphere that was just what I needed for a relaxing getaway. The proximity to the beach was a huge plus, allowing me to enjoy the soothing sound of the waves throughout my stay. The staff members were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a warm smile. One of the highlights of my trip was the Yala safari organized by the hotel. The experience was truly unforgettable, and the convenience of having it arranged by the hostel made the adventure even more enjoyable. Additionally, the food offered at the hostel was beyond delicious, satisfying my taste buds with a variety of delectable dishes. Overall, I can't speak highly enough of Hamba Hostel for Safari. It's the perfect blend of comfort, tranquility, beachside charm, attentive staff, exciting safari opportunities, and mouthwatering cuisine. My stay was an absolute delight, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable experience!
