Laxapana Wilderness Homestay in Norton Bridge provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. I had a great time with Prasad and his family. The food here tastes great and is traditionally prepared. The room is well equipped, the bed is comfortable and I even had my own tea corner with a boiler. The accommodation is not centrally located. So you have to think twice about whether you need anything else from the city before travelling to the accommodation. On the other hand, you are right in the countryside and there is no city noise. He is a wonderful host and I can recommend him to all travellers in Sri Lanka. Thank you for letting me stay with you, Prasad :)

Everything was excellent - get a private room with a lake view. Maybe a heater would be good for those silly tourists who didn’t bring warm clothing!

This place was far away better that all I could expect, really ! Guys are giving such a warm welcome, all their best to make you feel home ! Really helpful and with a good state of mind. I'v just spent 2 nights there but it was absolutely delicious : the hosts, the good and large breakfasts, the cleaning, the matress (the best I had by now on my months journey), the shared areas with brand new and comfortabe stuffs). The only thing I was worrying about as seen on a preview was the distance to the city, but even for that, a 10 minutes walk is ok.

The guys who manage it are very kind and helpful and fun . Perfect place to meet other travelers. They have three dogs and 9 puppies which made my stay memorable. The dorms are clean and spacious enough and the common areas too.
