Overall good value from the cheap price and included breakfast. The hostel is very near night market and the river, easily walkable. Both the host and receptionist were all super nice and helpful to me, they helped me book a very cheap shared van to the train station and rented motorbike and were pretty happy to suggest places to check out.

Located within 400 metres of Wat Xieng Thong and 800 metres of Night Market, Barn Laos Luangprabang Hostel provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Luang Prabang. I booked one night and stayed 5, I even decided to not go to a nice hotel the last night as I felt so comfortable here. Was in a 4 bed dorm with our own bath in the room, ac, lockers with locks provided, plug/light in your curtained bed. Towel for rent. Good selection of beers (including an IPA), and sparking water. Upstairs balcony was lovely with fans and cushions to enjoy throughout the day/night but also to see alma ceremony at a respectable distance. Very walkable and LP has amazingly lit streets so always felt super safe. And had a water refill machine which I haven’t had in Laos so far, even in very nice hotels. The staff was incredibly helpful during the day (rented a scooter, had laundry done which was back early and arranged a tuk tuk to the airport). All in all a spectacular stay and would come back anytime and recommend to friends!

I would like to stay there longer, there is a beautiful balcony, I can sit and drink beer every night, there is strong wifi, there is a restaurant called Dye nearby. near the river, I wish I could stay there longer, I really like this place.
