Guest rooms in the hostel are equipped with a kettle. With a shared bathroom fitted with a bidet and a hairdryer, rooms at ゲストハウス＆カフェ ハレテル also boast free WiFi, while some rooms include a sea view. All rooms will provide guests with a fridge. Amazing view of the ocean (just a few steps away), with a double rainbow (because it had recently rained), and spinning windmill in the background. Included access to laundry machine, free items in the fridge, general access to the whole house were great to have. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Wished I could have stayed another day to enjoy the cafe and watch the sunset when it wasn't cloudy.
Yasugi

The property is around 26 km from Lake Shinji, 28 km from Mizuki Shigeru Road and 28 km from Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum. Host was very friendly and answered quickly, accommodating easily as our arrival time was changing.

Great location, short walk to the station, castle, and situated near the river with nice views. Amazing food and drink locations nearby. Very clean room, relaxing sauna and very nice bathroom facilities, free tea and tea set for a little tea ceremony, comfortable bedding (traditional futon). Beautifully presented and exceptional value for money. What a fun experience.
Comfortable room, with views of distant mountains. Tasty breakfast with a focus on sustainability. Great location directly opposite the JR Station, near the lake, and within walking distance of Matsue Castle.

Very beautiful place. the beds are very comfortable, and the hostel is very clean. Very nice human experience, the owner takes the time to chat with you, and to share his knowledge of the region and Japan. very nice experience! I recommend for foreigners looking for an authentic experience in Japan!
The hotel is in a great location, between the castle and the station, both of which are a 15-minute walk away. There are many restaurants of all kinds nearby. The hotel is nice and everything is of quality. The owner, although we did not meet him in person, is responsive and found solutions to our requests.

Just across the street from the railway station - great location as in front of the railway station are the buses. Matsue has a tourist bus that you can catch to major sights. The tourist information centre is also in the same area and the staff are very helpful.
