The old Japanese house was warm and homey and the hosts were kind and welcoming. Two cats were a bonus. Dinner at the Thai restaurant was exceptional and highly recommended! I would be back anytime and ideally would stay for longer!

The room was large and clean. Our room was the family room with a decent sized playhouse inside where the kids play and even sleep. The building is old, but has been remodeled and is comfortable. The baked goods in the cafe on the 1st floor are delicious, and the cafe is whimsical and charming. There’s a kid’s playroom at the back of the cafe which was great for us, a group with lots of kids. There are also many ceramic wares by local artists for sale. I’d like to visit when the weather is cooler and explore the neighborhood.

Hotel The Gate Kumamoto is gelegen in Kumamoto, op 3,1 km van Hosokawa Residence Gyobutei en 3,3 km van Kasteel Kumamoto, en biedt accommodatie met een bar. I am impressed by the location and the cleanliness of the hotel. At first, I was worried about the noise, but it was not the problem. I still had three nights of good sleep in the hotel. Next time, if I come back, it is still my choice.
