Set in Kanazawa and with Kanazawa Castle reachable within 1.8 km, K's House Kanazawa - Travelers Hostel offers a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. I were the only guest, so the staff decided to give me a private room. Thanks for that :) Besides the upgrade i really like to stay at K's Hostel's everything is clean, the have a great kitchen/living area and every time the staff is friendly and helpful.

Blue Hour Kanazawa is conveniently located just a 3-minute's walk away from Kanazawa Station. Probably the best dorm stay I had during the two months I was in Japan. Plenty of storage room below and inside the cubicles, bed was comfy, lots of free ameneties and great shared spaces. There's a super helpful map in the main area showing all the best places to go in Kanazawa, and it's a great place to meet other solo travellers and hang out. Wish I'd stayed longer!

Located in Kanazawa, 1.8 km from Kanazawa Castle, SHARIN provides accommodation with a shared lounge, private parking and a bar. thank you!! don’t usually leave reviews but: man who works here is super helpful and nice, definitely recommend to any solo / couple travellers!! inside is all equipped with a cosy bar, microwave/grill/kettle etc, really clean beds and bar, and location is perfect to visit anything in Kanazawa! felt so safe in the bunks with blackout curtains and locks on all the doors. mainly just felt really welcome by the staff who helped with recommendations etc where he could !! also had incredible japanese breakfast which was really good value (¥800) and very very yummy, he makes it for you in the morning for whatever time :))

Boasting a terrace, a restaurant as well as a bar, Shaq Bighouse is situated in Kanazawa, 1.4 km from Kenrokuen Garden. Cool downstairs izakaya. Kotaro was awesome! Really helpful and fun to hang out with. Will definitely stay here again!

Featuring a shared lounge, Guesthouse Namaste is located in Kanazawa in the Ishikawa region, 1.9 km from Kanazawa Castle and 2.2 km from Kenrokuen Garden. The host was extremely hospitable and friendly! He even showed me his favorite local bar (: He also made sure all the guests checked in and even explained all the various activities nearby.

Situated in Komatsu and with Eiheiji Temple reachable within 38 km, Takigahara Craft & Stay features concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. I loved everything about the place. It was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The surroundings are stunning, and it's very easy to go for a hike in nature. The staff is kind and helpful, always with a smile on their faces. Bear in mind that the stay is a bit remote, so it's hard to get there and move around the area if you don't have your own vehicle. Nevertheless, they will offer to pick you up and drop you off at the station, while also providing you with a bicycle once you get there. To me, this only added to the experience. There's a cafe where you can have something to eat from 10 am to 6 pm. Even though the food offering is limited, it is really tasty.

Situated in Hakusan, 42 km from Kanazawa Castle, Guesthouse UNILA features accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Food was good . Beds not so comfortable.

Kanazawaya is situated in Kanazawa, 6.5 km from Kanazawa Castle and 7 km from Kenrokuen Garden. Very very comfortable huge bed and free parking! We loved our stay here.
