Set in Toyooka, 2.5 km from Kinumaki Shrine, KINOSAKI KNOT offers air-conditioned rooms and a shared lounge. Before I even arrived, the owner made sure I knew the entry code so that if he didn't hear the doorbell, I could still enter. But he did hear me and gave me instructions on where all the onsen are located and led me to my room. The room was very spacious and in a pretty traditional style. In the bathroom there were many hygiene products to use, including earplugs, as the house had very thin walls. The kitchen area was equipped with tea and coffee. For 1000 yen I could even rent a Yukata and received help putting it on. It was a truly great experience staying here! The city center and the train station is easily reached by foot and a convenience store is right across the street. I definitely recommend staying here!

The interior is a classic Japanese house with modern design downstairs. The staff was super nice, helped us with the luggage and gave good recommendations for dinner. You can also use the cable car for free.

Set 3 km from Noevir Stadium Kobe, Hostel Yume-Nomad Kobe offers 1-star accommodation in Kobe and has a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. A hip and nice place to stay. I really love the interior! Even though I stayed for a short time, the place made me want to revisit; cause I haven't had a chance to experience the cafe downstair.

Rural stay 592 is set in Toyooka, within 10 km of Ito Kiyonaga Museum and 17 km of Soun-ji Temple. The host was very nice. The rooms are super clean and I enjoyed this stay a lot! Even though the place is a little bit far away from kinosaki onsen, there is a direct bus going there (and the train, direct one is quite rare, but other way is one transfer). Also, the host helped us with arranging the transfer. Breakfast is cheap and nice. I really enjoyed the view from the balcony. Perfect for morning coffee! Common space also has everything (even though we didn't use it cause we stayed in individual room). There's also a nice izakaya style restaurant downstairs.
