Offering a terrace and views of the mountains and the sea, Timbuktu Hostel is located in San Vito lo Capo in the Sicily Region, 35 km from Trapani. Some rooms include views of the garden or city. I (53 years old woman) arrived here together with my daughter (27 years old). I was quite anxious to stay in the hostel cause I have never stayed in this type of accommodation and my daughter stayed only for one night to help me settle here. I was pleasantly surprised how good my stay was here. From the warm welcome to the very clean room and shared areas. The hostel was very well equipped : the kitchen had everything you could need and more . There were very good lounging spots inside and outside, also a concert on one of the evenings. Everyone was so helpful as I'm not fluent in English and helped me to organise a boat trip. I just want to say that it was one of the best decisions to stay here.

Excellent location for late arrival. Convenient, ample parking at premises. Directly at the beach. Easy to find. Large garden. Wonderful breakfast. Great staff! I came back and spent my last day of my short stay at Sicily as well.

There is no other word to describe this hostel then amazing. Mr. Mario, the owner, is the most nice and caring man I have met in a really long time. I got the most warm welcoming ever. The location is great, close to central train station; right in the city´s old town, plenty of nice bars and restaurants and gelateria around. I liked my room, it was 3-bed rooms for girls only, which felt convenient. As for the breakfast, pls go for it. We got some typical sicilian "street food" each morning, made by Mr. Mario + there were many other delicious stuff. Simply it was better than in 4star hotel, and it was also very stylish, because there is an old gramophone in the kitchen, and we played some italian songs every morning during the breakfast.

Located in the centre of Catania, Ostello degli Elefanti is set in a historic building. Guests can relax on the sun terrace. I liked everything about this hostel! Very convenient location, really nice staff, comfortable and private beds. Very beautiful ceilings, clean rooms and shared zones. In the shower there are products (shampoo, shower gel and other) probably left from other guests, so it’s very nice you don’t have to buy yours when you stay just for 1-2 days. The terrace with the view to Etna is amazing. They serve delicious free pasta in the evening! And you can enjoy simple breakfast in the morning in the balcony with the view of Etna or city center. All hostels should be like this!
