The owner was a legend who performed for the hostel with his guitar. Kind, easy going and created a comfortable environment for all. Loved our stay all the way from Australia!

Everything was great, the rooms are clean, the kitchen is clean, the bathroom too. You will receive instructions on where the key is located via message. Recommendation!

Wonderful place, the scenery is stunning, clean facilities, kitchen with everything you need, comfortable bed, even towels are included. They made me feel welcome at all times.

As it was low season we had the whole hostel for us. The kitchen had all the utensils and was very well equipped. The hostel was very warm!

We lived in a historic house next to the church. The host is the local artist who produces faces on rocks which you can see everywhere in Husafell. It was a great stay with a delicious breakfast (especially the traditional Havragrautur). And Pall even offered a soup in the evening. We enjoyed our stay a lot!
The apartment is in a great location just a few minutes drive from the town. It has a shared kitchen which gave it a 'backpackers' feel but everyone was really nice.
Warm rooms with plenty of space for four and private bathroom too. Dinner and breakfast from the host was lovely and a real treat, eating with the other guests. Quiet and peaceful location that makes for a good aurora spot if the clouds keep away. Great location for husafell and reykholt.
This was the best hostel ever. Everyone is welcoming. Locals did have a concert there and it was great. Worm community and great service. Definitely coming back here again.
it was a great cultural experience and very cheap, as of course it is a hostel. I loved the vibe and I felt very welcome. Also appreciated the free earplugs.
It was one of the best hostels ever. Super nice people, clean, great look and very calm even though I was in 8-people dorm. Would always go there again!
Despite the friendly reception lady and the stunning view from the front of the building, the main problem is the design of the place. Many rooms lead straight off a (dark but well-equipped) communal kitchen area, and so noise travels easily. The description of the place is ambiguous and doesn't really paint an accurate picture that staying here does, in many ways, feel like an expensive youth hostel. Definitely overpriced compared to everywhere else we stayed during two weeks in Iceland.
great flexible family rooms for 2 adults and 2 children (7&10), would be limited head height for teenagers so 2 rooms may be better. great location and views. easy access to Husafell and all the activities, but not so commercial and more authentic. fantastic friendly staff.
