Crossroads Hostel 1957 was such a welcoming place to arrive at. Aflah really took care of me on arrival as I was exhausted from a long journey from Kochi and Kozhikode. My room was upgraded and Sundar promptly made me a delicious lunch. In fact Sundar was a master in the kitchen, and all meals are prepared for guests. It is a very chill place to visit, grab a bike or pick a book to read enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Oh and Trance the dog will adopt you immediately, he is so gorgeous.

It was an impromptu booking and I hadn't even realised the dorm was in a serene and well curated resort. It was such an amazing surprise! The dorm itself is clean, comfortable, with individual beds and hot water. Then Hashid, Dr Sharon, Guida and the whole team just make sure you feel at home at all times. It is a wonderful place to reset in nature and among good-hearted people. I will definitely come back at a first chance.

Situated in Kalpetta and with Pookode Lake reachable within 13 km, Night Space hostel features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. The best place I've stayed at in India so far, the staff were so friendly and nice and helped me with everything and the whole place was really spacious and clean. The location is perfect, it's on a quiet side street with no traffic but just a short walk to the main street and walking distance to all kinds of cool places. Great place, lovely people and a perfect spot for going hiking and seeing the beautiful Kerala nature
