Situated within 48 km of Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park and 5.7 km of Museum Balla Lompoa, Melrose Place features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Sungguminasa. Located around 13 km from Gowa Discovery Park, the hostel with free WiFi is also 48 km away from Bantimurung Waterfall. The property is non-smoking and is set 13 km from Fort Somba Opu.
The owners were so kind and honest. I arrived at the place early in the morning before check in time, but he picked me up at the bus terminal and made me use the room. On the check out day, I could wait the bus time in their place and even use shower after checkout time. First he proposed the plan with a guide but after knowing my trip is a student-low-budget one, he kindly advised my trip. I do recommend this place.
Very friendly and smiling staff. They helped us to solve a few things (e.g. buy a SIM card). The room was a good size and for the price it was good. Great location near 2 minimarkets and walking distance from the centre. WiFi working well also in the room.
Lift. Hot Water. WIFI. Seating area on verandah. Omelette jaffle for breakfast. Convenience store 2 min walk. Close to Fort Rotterdam and easy walk to restaurants, fast food and coffee. Great value for money. More hotel than hostel. Basic but ticks almost all boxes.
Great Location, comfortable rooms, and helpful staff. Food at the restaurant was also delicious. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
This is a great little hostel. The room was sparklingly clean with a comfortable bed and hot shower. Hendrik, the host, is very attentive and eager to offer advice on places to visit in the area. Hendrik picked us up from the bus which was great! He also offers guiding services. We attended a funeral ceremony with Hendrik and really enjoyed the experience. You can also rent scooters here.
The view is lovely, the hostel is very clean and in a nice position, right next to the market. Staff is very friendly and helpful!

The hostel is a proper backpacker's nest - simple, but you can find everything you need there. The owner Leo is also a tour guide who accompanied us, organized visits to Torajan celebrations, explained all aspects of Torajan culture and selflessly helped with everything we needed.
