The House Hostel in Gili Trawangan provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. The place is a little bit out of the center and very nice and cute. The rooms are comfortable. You have free water, tea and a coffee. The pancakes for breakfast are delicious.The host is very kind, polite, helpful, and just an amazing person. I definitely recommend this place.

Pipes Hostel features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and bar in Kuta Lombok. Located around 2 km from Kuta Beach, the hostel with free WiFi is also 42 km away from Narmada Park. This is my very favorite place to crash. I kept on extending and extending and extending. The facilities itself are great, the staff is the just the best (Emmy, Risky, Eno, Baiq, Rocky, thx so much for making this place feel like home). If you need something, you’ll have it arranged. You won’t get bored, there is a pipe, a slack line, a kitchen to use, a refreshing pool, good coffee in the café. Plus you’ll meet most likely some handsome surferpeeps here haha. Set in Kuta Lombok, within 1.7 km of Kuta Beach and 43 km of Narmada Park, Wanderlust Hostel Mandalika offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private... It’s so nice to have space for the backpack and clothes other than a really comfortable bed with two pillows! Nice hot shower. The staff is very welcoming and they rent scooter at a very fair price.

Tiga Spies is a hidden gem in Kuta, Lombok, tucked away from the main street. One of the highlights for me was the peaceful location – I never heard any traffic noise unless someone from the accommodation or next door was arriving or leaving. This ensured quiet evenings, restful nights, and calm mornings, which I greatly appreciated. The accommodation itself is simple, but not too minimalistic. My room, bed, linens, and the open-air bathroom were clean throughout my stay. The small terrace was also a nice touch, perfect to work or sit for chat — albeit not private. While there is no safe, the room does have a lockable wooden closet. The large bed is comfortable and offers ample space underneath to store two to four shortboards. The mattress seemed fresh, had a neutral good scent, and was medium to firm, just how I like it – especially compared to the overly soft mattresses I had encountered in Indonesia. The garden, although still under construction, is already quite nice, even if not stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful, though communication could sometimes be a little challenging due to my limited Sasak and Indonesian. However, the owners speak perfect English and were always kind and accommodating. One potential downside is the road leading to the accommodation, which can be rough, especially if you’re not super experienced riding a scooter. Personally, I didn’t mind; in fact, I felt it added to the charm of the place. In terms of value for money, I would say the pricing is slightly ahead of the accommodation’s current state, especially considering the simplicity and lack of extra amenities. For example, soap wasn’t provided and some constructions going on. Also I found the scooter rental overpriced at 80k per day, even when asking to rent for three weeks. Most places in Kuta offer daily rentals starting at 70k, with prices easily negotiable down to 65k, 60k, or even 55k when asking for 1-3 weeks.

Featuring a garden, hijau is located in Cakranegara in the Lombok region, 28 km from Bangsal Harbour and 7.9 km from Narmada Park. Hijau is a little oasis in the heart of the island, not too far from the airport. I loved everything about it - the bamboo structure, the garden, their dog - but nothing compares to Didit and his dad's hospitality and kindness. I will never forget them and this short but sweet stay at Hijau.
