We stayed in Zen Moon for 5 nights in our 1-week trip in Yogyakarta. Everything is so good and exceed our expectation 😍

Located in Timuran, Ranasa Yogyakarta features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. I was really pleased with the dorms at ranasa. It is a smaller hostel but has all the facilities of a larger one, including a pool which was bliss in the evening to chill and read a book. The staff were very kind and helpful, and I met some nice people staying to get a beer with. People were quiet at night. Aircon in the dorm was great. Breakfast was delicious. Very good value for money.

The family that own the hostel (and also run the children’s home next door) - they’re all lovely people. My wife fell sick during our stay and the owner walked us to the doctor and even translated just to be sure she was getting the care she needed. The hostel itself is good value for money and it’s nice to support local businesses like this one rather than bigger hotel chains.

He provides you with water as soon as you arrive. I loved the decoration of the hostel, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent, especially the coffee—I loved it.
