Andrea, the owner, was exceptionally attentive, helpful and conscientious. In addition to being an amazingly cozy and inviting atmosphere, she also explained her larger vision of reducing environmental impact (particularly on trash and water usage) and training local women as employees at a fair wage. Could not give a stronger recommendation for this hostel!

Mandalas Hostal is situated in San Pedro La Laguna and has a terrace. Free WiFi is featured. A kitchen with everything you need and a dining area. I had a very chill stay here. It’s near the party hostel so you can definitely hear music until around midnight but it didn’t personally bother me. They have a well equipped kitchen that most people stay here use so it was also easy to meet other travellers. The rooftop terrace was a cozy place to hang out and eat breakfast with a view. I used the laundry service which was same day service.

Dreamboat Hostel features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Panajachel. I came here originally for three nights and extended twice because it was such a great hostel. The staff were absolutely wonderful, helpful and fun and it had good areas for a solo travel to sit and meet people immediately. Everything was clean, in good nick and up to scratch. Perfect location too. I will be back :)

The shared kitchen was being remodeled so I was switched to a cabin with a little kitchen. I really appreciated the flexibility of the owner.
