Sunset Surf Camp is such a lovely place! From the moment I arrived I felt like home. The energy in this place is incomparable. The pool is so nice and Peyo and Babette, the hosts, are very nice and welcoming. I would 100% stay at Sunset Surf Camp again. The wifi works very well, the kitchen is well equipped, the rooms are comfortable and clean (I stayed in a single bedroom). I also met some amazing people during my stay here so if you are a solo traveler, this is PERFECT for you. The beach, bakery and convenience store are an 8min walk from the hostel. There is also a bar right next to it which is really fun for dancing, meeting people and having good drinks. I can’t wait to come back!

We stayed here as a compromise between my desire to stay somewhere off the beaten path, and my partners desire to spend time in Negril. It was a short drive to Negril and I really felt like I got to see a different side of Jamaica.

The spot is about a 30-minute walk, or 200 peso 5-minute moto-taxi ride, to the center of Las Galeras, a small beach town in the Samaná peninsula. The property is also conveniently located right on the trail to Madama beach - a small and secluded beach that is simply gorgeous! Karin was both attentive and kind.

I'll definitely come back...
