Fantastic hostel in a great location
Lovely clean room nicely decorated with everything needed and nice to have fresh milk and a fridge in the room. We have stayed in quite a few other hotels and bnb in the area and this is by far the best and considerably cheaper. Great location
For a youth hostel, despite basic furnishings in the room, this proved an excellent choice for a short stopover. Not stayed in a YHA for many years, but the heritage building was lovely, the facilities good, and the location was second to none. Will definitely be back, and then make use of the excellent shared kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Great location, clean, safe secure bike storage.
Great hotel, friendly staff who looked after us well. Family room with double & bunk bed worked well for us. Food & beer also very good. Dog was made to feel very welcome as well. Great location for exploring Hadrian's Wall.
Quirky, spacious, cheap & great location
Lovely clean warm hostel. Not my first stay, but every bit as comfortable as before. Slept in a dormitory room, good value for money.
But when you think about it, it was a tiny room with no window, only a skylight. OK there was a tv to look at and we were there to just sleep. But if a hotel wants to score above the average then it needs to make a bit of an effort. Breakfast wasn’t included although it could have been provided at quite considerable expense. So this just reinforced the decision to use the facilities of a Youth Hostel down the road. No tv but a room with a view, a friendly ambience and a cheap breakfast to boot all at much less than half the price.
