Set in Ballymena, 44 km from SSE Arena, Slemish Barn Hostel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. A warm welcome and I was made to feel at home. The accommodation was very homely and I spent the evening in front of the wood burning stove, reading and feeling very relaxed. The bed was super comfortable and the surroundings very peaceful - I had an excellent night's sleep. A simple breakfast was included and tea/coffee making facilities were available.

Set in Belfast and with The Waterfront Hall reachable within 1.1 km, Gr8 Hostel at The Mount offers a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. Clean, modern and with excellent kitchen and laundry facilities. I was warmly greeted by the lovely owner. I suffered a minor injury whilst there (my own fault) and both staff and other guests couldn't have been more helpful.

Cat is a fantastic host with a genuine love for serviced accommodation. Definitely one to add to the list if you stay regularly in Belfast.
