Just a few minutes’ walk from Fort Augustus on the edge of Loch Ness, this award-winning lodge offers four-star hostel accommodation with free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Staff is great, the place is spacious (both rooms and common areas), quiet and comfortable. Many facilities - indoor sitting areas, back yard with sitting areas, pub, self-catered kitchen, books, games, piano, many electrical outlets, lockers, spaceius showers, great breakfast. Very clean. The village is beautiful, with a grocery store, food and pubs, the Locks are lovely! And the are several hiking trails.

Very friendly staff, and very friendly atmosphere. The cheapest hostel beds in the Scottish Highlands, as far as I searched online. Beds are quite comfortable, and what I particularly liked about the beds were: 1) each bed has its own USB and power outlet, 2) the bed-frames are physically affixed to the walls and they don't get shaken by other person in the bunk-bed. I particularly loved #2, and it shows whoever designed the hostel knows the common concerns among hostel backpackers. I wish more hostels implement these things.
