It’s really beautiful, calm, quiet, private and comfortable. It is one of a collection of small cottages in a farm setting, but it is set apart from the others and hence more private. I loved that. I spent most of the time sitting in the garden room (shown in the picture) looking out at the garden. The kitchen is simple but well equipped and everything was clean and ready for my visit. There is a lovely atmosphere and the place feels very homely and safe.

Characterful property, spacious and well equipped for a large party. Great location. We were able to walk to Arthur’s caves, Seven Sisters and the Ferry to Symonds Yat from the door.

Food was excellent, it was a shame the restaurant wasn't open on the Wednesday evening, but we were aware of this at the time. However, there was a lot of snow at the time when we stayed, and we had to resort to getting an Indian Takeaway on the Weds evening as it wasn't reallly safe to drive anywhere in the snow. The staff happily providd us with plates and cutlery though. The staff were also lovely, very helpful. The Sun room was clean and spacious, and it was a great location for The Old Forge.

Great location, comfortable room with great views. Excellent, safe car parking, great if traveling by motorbike.
